Hyacinth is currently pursuing her Master of Public Health in Environmental Public Health Sciences at New York University where she was awarded the William N Rom Climate Change Fellowship for her work on projects addressing the impact of climate change on public health. With a Bachelor's Degree in Public Health and Environmental Science & Policy from the University of South Florida, Hyacinth received the Global Citizens Award for her activities aligned with the UN Sustainable Development Goals. She also serves as the Vice State Lead Ambassador for the American Cancer Society Cancer Action Network (ACS CAN) advocating for policies that reduce the cancer burden for everyone. Hyacinth is passionate about advocating for a clean and healthy environment, driven by her commitment to protecting public health and promoting social justice. She believes in ensuring everyone's right to a safe and healthy environment, free from the harmful effects of toxic chemicals and reducing the cancer risk that is linked to exposure to environmental chemicals. Through raising awareness and advocating for safer alternatives, she aims to safeguard community health and address environmental injustices.
