The Chemistry of Racism: Dying to be Beautiful podcast was created as an exploration of the scientific concerns regarding toxic chemicals aimed at women and femmes of color in attempting to achieve European beauty standards. It also examines the historic sociocultural backdrop to these beauty ideals and the need for beauty justice in the United States today, incorporating the Beauty Justice Act currently sitting in the New York State Senate and Assembly.
